Al van kinds af aan was Bart gefascineerd door electronica en geluidsapparatuur. Op zijn tiende kon hij al verschillende boxen perfect aansluiten door middel van de kabels juist te verbinden. Electronica is altijd blijven hangen dus besloot hij om de opleiding elektricien te volgen. ’s Avonds ging hij dan naar de winkel in Sint-Truiden om wat te solderen als vakantiewerk op de technische dienst. Daar heeft de verkoopmicrobe hem te pakken gekregen.

Mede door zijn opleiding heeft hij een sterkte die uniek is: hij kent de toestellen voornamelijk vanuit de technische kant. Over de mogelijkheden van de toestellen en de plus- en minpunten kan hij alles vertellen. Hij kijkt dan ook minder door een verkoopbril maar wil het allerbeste voor zijn klanten. Met veel bijscholen en zelf uitproberen krijgt hij dan ook veel van zijn vrije uurtjes gevuld. Al dat ‘technische’ klinkt misschien niet al te opwindend, maar een saai gesprek met Bart bestaat gewoonweg niet. Hij is goedlachs en staat met heel veel plezier in de winkel. Het duurste systeem verkopen zegt hem dan ook niets als dat de klant niet tevreden stelt. Het is naar wat de klant op zoek is dat telt en hij helpt graag zoeken naar de perfecte oplossing.
